Healthcare waste
The University undertakes many activities including teaching and research that result in the production of healthcare waste (formally known as clinical waste).
All staff, students and visitors involved in work that produces healthcare waste should familiarise themselves with this Procedure.
Each person producing healthcare waste is responsible for segregating it properly and disposing of it in line with the Procedure below.
The final destination for healthcare waste is incineration or alternative technology treatment
