Menopause day (14 June)

Tuesday 14 June – Menopause day – on campus and online – booking required

We’re delighted to present a whole day dedicated to menopause support at the University of Leeds. There’ll be two ‘menopause for thought’ cafés, lightning talks, a workshop, yoga for menopause and a discussion panel/Q&A (booking required). The day splits into a morning and afternoon session on campus, with the discussion panel also accessible online. 

08.30 – 13.00 Menopause day morning session – on campus (booking required). 
08.30 – 09.30 Breakfast ‘menopause for thought’ café with refreshments provided – provides a safe confidential place to discuss issues around the menopause. Refreshments will be provided.  
09.30 – 09.45 Break
09.45 – 11.45 Menopause in the workplace workshop (including courageous conversations). These are great for people who want to understand more about the menopause, its potential impact and how to provide support.
11.45 – 12.00 Break
12.00 – 13.00 Lightning talks – the session will include personal stories, early research findings, insight from a GP, lifestyle and discussion on hormone replacement therapy. 
13.00 – 13.45 Break

14.00 – 17.00 Menopause day afternoon session – on campus (booking required). Refreshments will be provided. 
14.00 – 14.45 Menopause discussion panel – on campus and online (booking required). Join our menopause discussion panel where colleagues can discuss the menopause. 
14.45 – 15.00 Break 
15.00 – 16.00 Yoga for menopause with Sarah. Join Sarah’s Yoga session designed to provide benefits to those experiencing the menopause. Equipment will be provided but feel free to bring your own mat if you prefer.
16.00 – 17.00 ‘Menopause for thought’ café – provides a safe, confidential place to discuss issues around the menopause. Refreshments will be provided.
