Your opportunity to feed back on the updated draft of the Health and Safety Policy

Your feedback is critically important to develop health and safety protocols that reflect the complexity of the University’s needs.

We are now asking for your views on the updated draft University Health and Safety Policy 2020 - the core document which sets out the University’s approach to health and safety, as well as everyone’s responsibilities for it.

This consultation is part of a  process agreed by the University Health and Safety Committee and the recognised campus trade unions. We aim to finalise the Policy in time for October Health and Safety Committee. 

The draft Policy is attached under 'Downloads' at the bottom of this webpage, along with the 2018 leaflets we use alongside the current Policy, to help explain how to put the responsibilities into practice.

Please send in any feedback either by emailing it to safety@leeds.ac.uk or by using the online consultation form Consultation – Health and Safety Policy by Monday 20th July 2020. 

We’re especially interested to know:

• Does the draft Policy make sense?

• Do you need any further information in the draft Policy? 

• Looking at the 2018 leaflets attached below:- are these leaflets useful, and if so, should we update them for use with the new 2020 Policy?

• Any other feedback?
