University wins invitation to RoSPA Royal Garden Party

Representatives of the University of Leeds Wellbeing Safety and Health team have been invited to a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace, London, UK in May 2017.

University wins invitation to RoSPA Royal Garden Party for its commitment to accident and ill-health prevention

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)  celebrates its centenary this year,  and as the Queen is their patron, she has graciously granted them permission to hold the Royal Garden Party.

University staff are amongst the carefully selected guest list, in recognition of the University’s dedication to achieving the prestigious Occupational Health and Safety Awards Gold Award for five years in a row.

Paul Veevers, Head of Health and Safety said:

‘Our invitation recognises the University’s deep commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work. We are proud of the work carried out by staff across campus to make the University a safe and healthy place to work, study and research, and we are delighted to represent the team and the University at the Royal Garden Party.’
