INTERNAL COURSES:

  • Fire Warden Training
    Compulsory for newly designated Fire Wardens.

    Refresher for all Fire Wardens who attended the Fire Warden training 3 years ago.

  • First Aid Courses

  • Laser Safety (Level1)
    Suitable for staff, post graduates, post doctorates who work with lasers.

  • Biological Agents and Genetically Modified Organisms
    Training module is available on the VLE. Please get in touch with your local health and safety contacts for further information and enrolment.
  • Fieldwork Activities
    (for those involved in fieldwork activities)
    Course content with entry requirements.

EXTERNAL PROVIDER

  • Safe use and inspection of ladders and step ladders

    Duration: 2h30 The course will involve practical exercises where candidates will be asked to use and inspect ladders/stepladders. For a full course description please click here.

For this course to run we need a minimum of 7 participants.
As the course is delivered by an external provider a non refundable fee of £35*  per candidate will be charged on receipt of your account code. If you cannot attend for any reason we would advise that you transfer your place to another member of staff.

  • Corporate Manslaughter Briefing
    Book place
    Duration: 1h30 This course provides background to the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 and the implications for Senior Managers at the University.     For this course to run we need a minimum of 10 participants.
